Welcome to Sabbath Spot. First let me try to assure you that this is not a place to coerce or to prosletyze, nor a place to be political or anxious in debate. It is a place where I like to share the smatterings of my heart and mind. It is a place to share with others glimpses of holiness that redeem us, renew us, and frankly keep us sane and humble. It is a place to find inspiration from each other as we take time together with the Creator of all and live in the peaceable community we are intended to live in. That last idea came from a quote I read somewhere, "God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good." Or you could call call it plagiarized from the prophet Isaiah, whichever, it's still a really cool idea.
Welcome to a place that will hopefully celebrate what is very good about being human, despite our stumblings and our shared sinfulness. Welcome to a place where it will be safe to be you, a place to rant, a place to pray and find peace, a place to play in the grace of God. Don't we need a place like this; a place the famous theologian Happy Gilmore called "a happy place"? Welcome friend, rest why don't you, and know that you are loved.
